Baptist Health System plans Boerne’s first hospital at I-10 and Hwy 46. As of September 2026 the site was cleared but building had not started, and no opening date has been announced. Both ERs in the Boerne area today are freestanding.
Methodist ER Boerne and Fair Oaks Emergency Room are licensed emergency rooms, open around the clock and billed as ER visits. Fair Oaks Emergency Room says it is out of network with all insurers and does not accept Medicare or Medicaid, so check coverage if you can.
Boerne Emergency Room, an independent freestanding ER off Herff Rd at 103 Gallant Fox Ln, broke ground in April 2025 and says it is coming in fall 2026. It is not open yet, so it isn’t listed above.
